Inspired by the great pairings in rock and jazz history, C-30 Duets Vol. 1 presents five smooth cosmopolitan duets. Like a cook well versed in many cuisines, Bradshaw takes the spices of the genre of his partners and peppers them in creating a diverse yet also cohesive mix.

Arthur Fowler - Here I Am Again
Mon, 11 Dec 2017 05:35:00 Z
Beyond the lacklustre opening track, the rest of the five-track EP weaves a well-balanced mix of blues, jazz, psychedelia and smooth vocals.
Reflexson - It's Broken EP
Mon, 11 Dec 2017 03:08:00 Z
The new five-song EP from Houston Texas producer Reflexson is a chilled out mini cyber-symphony that takes the listener through a day in the life. Rarely pandering with the typical electronic tropes, the tracks have an innate musicality and natural flow, in spite of the frequent incursion of the overtly digital.

Fela Kuti - Vinyl Box set #4 curated by Eryka Badu
Sat, 09 Dec 2017 15:18:00 Z
As I progressed through the albums I found myself completely lost in the complex and repetive rhythmic signatures but also captured by his passion and the sheer musicality of it all.
Walker Hayes - Boom
Fri, 08 Dec 2017 09:48:00 Z
Today marks the release of Luke Bryan's What Makes You Country, an album with a title that reflects the changing tide and trends of the US country scene. With bro country now pretty much over and the resurrection of both Outlaw and Trad scenes, the Country world is swarming with its most diverse talent to date. While many who are not familiar with the new wave of Country would not categorise the likes of Maren Morris, Sam Hunt and Kane Brown in that box upon just hearing a song or two, perhaps the most radically repackaged sound of recent years has arrived in the shape of Walker Hayes' boom.
Jane Lee Hooker - Spiritus

Randy Crawford - Naked And True
Tue, 05 Dec 2017 11:37:00 Z
Randy Crawford is perhaps still best known for her epic hit One Day I'll Fly Away, which scored a #2 chart position back in 1980, but there are more intriguing facts about the US singing sensation that are worth noting. For example, back in 1982 having enjoyed a long string of hit singles in the upper echelons of the charts, Crawford somehow managed to walk away with the Best British Female accolade at the Brits Awards. However, the strange twists and turns of a recording career that was launched by the double A-side Knock On Wood / If You Say The Word in 1972 are not the primary focus today, but rather the repackaged bumper release of 1995's Naked And True.
