Diversity-focused peer mentoring group offers new students support, networking
The BLUEprint Peer Mentoring Program brings together new students from diverse backgrounds to help ease their transition to Penn State. The program’s mission is to promote the well-being of first-year and change-or-campus students, focusing on students of color, in order to encourage retention and successful persistence toward earning their Penn State degree.
Students asked to use judgment in attending THON in light of mumps cases
Penn State University Health Services is reporting that three cases of mumps have been confirmed on the University Park campus. University Health Services is recommending that anyone showing symptoms of mumps not attend THON activities this weekend (Feb. 17 to 19).

Penn State University Health Services (UHS) is reporting that two cases of mumps have been confirmed on the University Park campus. The students were isolated in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Pennsylvania Department of Health protocols and recommendations, and UHS staff have been in touch with those who have been in close contact with the individuals.
