I have finally taken the time to finished the All Things British photo frame. I haven't yet hung it as I have to sort out the right type of hooks for it. I have tried to not only make it all British but also 1950s British Images. From top left around the circle. The Tower of London Beefeaters on Parade - Morris Dancers -  Summer on the Beach - The Guard at Buckingham Palace - London Bobbies - Guy Fawkes Night - Tower Bridge - Our Beautiful Queen Elizabeth on the Year of her Coronation.

Avatar Sizes - Controlling of
Sat, 23 Sep 2017 11:56:29 GMT
We can change the size of the avatars allowed in the general settings   Which works wonderfully well for those avatars that are uploaded into the system.  However that internal setting doesn't work for linked avatar images. To control the size of avatars for the linked ones add this code in the css.  Change the size to suit yourself. Code:/*Avatar in posts*/ .postdetails.poster-profile a img {max-width: 150px;}

Cheesy Tomato Pasta
Tue, 12 Sep 2017 02:09:22 GMT
This is a recipe I invented myself when on holiday in a caravan.  Not wanting to cook a massive meal for 6 people I quickly whipped this up.  It makes a really quick, easy and cheap supper dish. Contains all three of the major food groups. This recipe will serve 2 to 3 people. Ingredients: Long spaghetti pasta or fusilli pasta (enough for all) Tin of plum tomatoes (400g) or sliced fresh tomatoes Plenty of grated cheddar cheese Salt to taste Method: Boil the pasta (with ...

Son in Coma Doesn't Know Dad Died. When Mom Asks 'Do You Know Where Daddy is?" - His Response Shook Her to Her Core! In the summer of 1997, Julie Kemp, her husband, Andy, and their 8-year-old son, Landon, were heading home from church one day when an ambulance returning back to its station crashed into their car at an intersection. "I didn't see what he was yelling at. I didn't see the ambulance coming, but I remembered him yelling." Julie said about her husband. "That was the last thing ...

Having to hang around the flat today as today is going to be the chap putting up my curtain rail for me along with the chap coming to bring my Sky box and set it all up.  Oh my!  I can't wait to start watching my favourite programmes again. I forgot to buy or bring any shampoo with me and I am itching to get to the shop and buy some.  I haven't wanted to leave Louie on his own yet as with no carpet and us not being settled properly he is a bit restless, and I have to teach him that he mustn't ...

Hello from Illinois, I'm TaraLynn7
Tue, 05 Sep 2017 22:33:15 GMT
Hello, Like I said I am from the state of Illinois.  You know the stare where we have a great retirement plan for our Governors.  First we let them spend all the money, then we jail them for a while, then we let them out to spend the rest of the money they stole. It's a beautiful system.....I am not usually so political.  I am actually embarrassed to say I am from Illinois.  Sad eh?  Anyway, my decedents are from England and the US.  I have been married for over 43 years, we have 2 kids, ...

Lamb Mince with Rich Tomato Sauce
Mon, 04 Sep 2017 14:13:07 GMT
As I had Aimee and Troy coming for a game of cards this evening I wanted to give them a decent dinner but didn't want to spend time in the kitchen cooking it all up and then having a bloody great mess to clean up after, so I made a few short cuts. I prepared all this at 10am this morning and shoved it in the crockpot.  I used frozen chopped onions and frozen mushrooms to save me time buggering around chopping. I served it with heated tinned new potatoes and a frozen cauliflowers and broccoli ...

The Lady in a Van with Maggie Smith (2015)
Fri, 01 Sep 2017 20:28:38 GMT
I sat down last night and watched a second showing of this film - I enjoyed as much this second time as I did the first.  It really is a must watch. Lady in the Van tells the true story of the relationship between Alan Bennett and the singular Miss Shepherd, a woman of uncertain origins who ‘temporarily’ parked her van in Bennett’s London driveway and proceeded to live there for 15 years. Here's the official trailer...
Church Meeting in the Dining Hall
Fri, 01 Sep 2017 17:53:25 GMT
This week I tried out the Church Meeting held in our complex dining hall Sunday mornings. I loved the singing in this one as it's more the conventional hymns which I am very fond of.  The Bible reading was going through chapter 8 of revelations.  Very few conventional churches will touch revelations as it seems to be all hell and damnation and quite terrifying and they think their congregation would get even smaller if they touch on revelations nowadays.  It isn't really terrifying if one ...
