🧑‍🎓 It’s Promotion Sunday! As we celebrate the end of the school year, we also celebrate all of our students moving up to the next grade in their Sunday and Wednesday groups. Starting this Sunday, May 28, the incoming sixth graders will join the youth in Breakfast Club in the Original building. All other preschool through elementary students will check in at the Covenant Kids checkin station and go to the class that corresponds to their fall 2023 school year.

🫶 We are delighted to host Jessie Ray from Safe Families for Children this Sunday, May 21. Safe Families for Children is a ministry focused on prevention. They serve struggling families in the community who may be isolated or in crisis and come alongside them to keep their children safe and their family together. Our church has a great opportunity to make an impact in our community by partnering with Safe Families for Children and getting involved with their ministry. Covenant's own, McKenna Browning, will be interning this summer with Alpine Bible Church, who is putting this week long mission trip on and we look forward to going to encourage her and see how our church can further partner with this ministry.

You will also learn a simple short-term Bible discovery method and Bible reading plan options to help you disciple those that respond to the gospel. 

Jesus commanded us to “Go and make disciples” (Matt 28:19). He “gave us the ministry of reconciliation” (2 Cor 5:18). We are called His “Ambassadors” (2 Cor 5:20). God has a mission and a purpose for you, His messenger, to share His message with the world. Come and see!

🔎 We are in the process of seeking to grow our Deacon ministry & adding an Elder in the coming months. If you know of anyone who should serve in this capacity, please let us know as soon as possible. Read more below for further information and details on what it means to serve as a Deacon or Elder, and exactly how to make your recommendation known.

Deacons (“servants” in the Greek) will serve the church by using their gifts and abilities to meet tangible physical and spiritual needs within the church (from taking care of buildings and grounds to visiting those that aren’t able to get out and be with us on Sundays).

Elders (also called “overseers” or “pastors” in the Bible) are responsible to “shepherd” the church body, providing spiritual oversight of the ministry, teaching, & working to strengthen and protect the spiritual health of our church family.

Biblical qualifications for serving in the church as either a Deacon or an Elder are found in I Timothy 3 & Titus 1.

➡️ If you know of some men that meet the biblical qualifications and would be a blessing to the church by serving as a Deacon or Elder, we’d love to have your recommendations. As not all who are recommended will be asked to serve, we’d ask that you keep your recommendations between yourself and the Lord, and trust the process as we (our current Elders) prayerfully consider who to move forward with. Please let us know who you are, who you’re recommending for our consideration for either office, and a little explanation of what you see in them that makes you want to recommend them.

👩‍🚀 Join us for Kids Camp 2023 on June 19-23, 9:00am - 1:30pm. Register online for an awesome time here on the church grounds at Covenant. The cost is just $125 for the entire week ($25 due at registration), and includes all activities, lunch, a snack everyday, Bible studies, small groups, crafts and missions. We will also take advantage of our gymnasium for sports, the pond and preserve for fishing and marksmanship, as well as the café for lunch and snacks! Our theme this year is Stellar: Shine Jesus' Light and is intended for children currently in Kindergarten through the 5th Grade.

Rest assured, the added encouragement this brings to those in need and the grace provided to those in prayer, goes further than you might think.
