🤝 Join us this Sunday, April 14, for the Connection Class & Lunch. If you’ve not yet joined the church (or if you’re not even sure what that means, or what constitutes “membership”), we’d love to have you join us. We will be meeting during the 2nd service from 10:30am-1:00pm in the Original Building. A free lunch will be provided, and there’s no assumed commitment for attending. This will just be a way for us to let you know a little more about who we are, and how you can be a more meaningful part of Covenant Fellowship.

We're pleased to announce the start of a new Sunday morning small group called "Devoted" on April 14 (this Sunday), at 10:30am in Adult Room 1. This will be a group committed to pursuing intentional spiritual, relational and missional growth. They welcome those of any age and in any season of life who are desiring to build connections through prayer, encouragement, practical study and Gospel application both within the church and beyond in the community to make known the love of Christ. "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers." — Acts 2:42
🎲 Ladies make plans to come out and join us for Bunco Fun Night, TONIGHT, Thursday, April 11, from 6:30 – 9:00pm, in the church café. No need to have played before. We will explain the rules the night of the event and you can also follow this link for a short video on how to play! Please bring a light snack or a dessert to share if desired. This is a low pressure evening and you are welcome to play, just watch/socialize, or be a scorekeeper. All ladies are welcome 6th grade and up. This is a great opportunity to bring a friend and make some new friends too (both are welcome)!
How to Play

The Celebration of Life for Bobby Gibson will be held this Friday, April 12th, at 6:30PM, at Covenant Fellowship. Casual attire is encouraged.

🫶 The family has asked that no one send flowers (REALLY), but instead ask that those who would like to “do something” would honor Bobby with a gift to help build a Hope Home in India for Orphans by Hopegivers International. Gifts can be made to build a Hope Home through Covenant Fellowship (click here and select "Bobby Gibson Hope Home Memorial" from the dropdown menu). Checks should be made out to “Covenant Fellowship” with “Bobby Gibson Hope Home Memorial” written on the memo line.

It is with devastated hearts that we need to share with you news of a tragic loss within our church family this week.

Yesterday afternoon, on Friday, April 5th, eleven year old Bobby Gibson, finished his journey on this earth. Bobby died in an accident, and yet we know that none of this took our Lord by surprise. As Psalm 139:16 reminds us, “Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.”

Bobby is the son of Brent and Lisa, the brother of Charissa and Lewis, and a beloved member of our church family. Bobby was a genuinely special young man, who radiated the love and kindness of his Savior like few others. We are 100% certain that Bobby is presently with Jesus, not because he was a good little boy, but because he put his faith in Jesus Christ, who died for him & who rose again. If you have not done that, we plead with you to do so.

Services are tentatively planned for Friday evening, and more information will be forthcoming. For now, we ask that you simply keep the family in prayer. The Gibsons are strong in the Lord and know they are extremely loved by our church. And for the moment they have asked for space to grieve without being contacted (immediate family alone is already a huge number of people).

This loss is a great one, not only for the Gibson family & their extended families, but for our church. Please be in prayer for our children and students as well as their families, as many of them knew and loved Bobby and his family & we are all hurting.

Again thank you for praying, and for not flooding the Gibsons with contacts or other means of unsolicited support. The time for that will come & we will let you know when it does. We love and appreciate you all & look forward to being together tomorrow to worship the Lord, who alone is our refuge and strength

🍽️ Our Upperclassmen ministry will have their monthly luncheon tomorrow, Friday, April 5, from 11:45–1:30pm. This time of food and fellowship is greatly enjoyed and we are always looking forward to sharing this time together with you each month. If you're in the age of retirement, or simply have a heart for this community, we'd love to have you join us. And remember, we like to start at noon, so please be sure to arrive a little early, just to give yourself time to mingle and grab a drink before the meal is ready.

🤝 Our next Members' Meeting will be this Sunday, April 7, immediately after the 2nd worship service, starting around 12:00pm and ending at 1:00pm. This is the perfect opportunity to come together and stay informed about the latest happenings of Covenant, as lunch is served, and our pastors provide various updates and reports concerning their respective ministries. We spend a lot of time meeting together as a church; but it's primarily through these updates that we can collectively understand our church's growth, identify areas where we can contribute, and also strengthen our commitment to better serving our community as a whole. Needles to say, your attendance, as a valued member of our church body, is greatly appreciated!

The last day to donate is this Sunday, March 24,  and please, no chocolate candy donations (they tend to melt inside of the hidden Easter eggs). These donations help to ensure that every child has a good Eggstravaganza and we couldn't be more encouraged by your contributions to this outreach. Make sure to bring your donations by the front office during our working hours or on Sunday mornings before and after each service.

As our church family grows, it becomes more challenging to get news out, and less and less likely that everyone is aware of things like births and deaths in our church family. For that reason, we are adding this little section at the end of our weekly update email anytime there is news to report.

🍼 We are happy to announce the birth of Vinyette Louella Reis “Vinni Lou”. Born March 9, to Eli and Brie Reis.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Looking for a meaningful way to serve our community? Are you willing to practice hospitality, generosity, and compassion to your neighbors who are isolated and struggling? Consider volunteering with Safe Families for Children of the Treasure Coast! Jessie Ray, the local director of Safe Families for Children will be with us this Sunday answering questions about this special ministry and signing up interested volunteers to serve. Make sure to stop by her table in the cafe before and after each of our church services.
🍀 Our next Never Alone—Widows With Purpose luncheon will be this Sunday, March 17, right after the second service, in the church café. There is no cost to attend, but we do appreciate a $5 donation in order to offset the various costs of meeting together and to keep things running smoothly. However, we want everyone to be able to be there, so don't let money bother you! Our prayer is simply that any widow at Covenant would feel welcome to join us for a refreshing, casual time of food and fellowship. It's also St. Patrick's Day! So be sure to wear your green! Email Kim Carroll with any questions.

All official church gatherings for Wednesday, including dinner, have been postponed until next Wednesday night, March 20, when all classes and activities plan to resume as normal. For more information about the menu or the classes that we have available, you can always check our schedule with the Covenant App or through our church website.
⏰ The start of Daylight Saving Time is coming up again! That's right, this Sunday, March 10, at 2:00am, we'll all 'spring forward' by setting our clocks ahead one hour in order to make better use of the impending summer light. That is to say: we'll all have lost an hour of sleep this Sunday. The good news is that we'll all have longer days and greater light to sing His praise for many months to come. Join us for services at 9:00am or 10:30am this Sunday with all classes and nurseries meeting like normal.
🪑 We are looking for a few serving ROCKSTARS who are willing and able to help us set up our chairs for worship on Saturday mornings.  If you are interested in serving in this way, please fill out the form at the link below. ⤵️

🙏 Visit the Covenant Prayer Wall on our website or app. This is a wonderful, unique way to both: make new requests known to others, as well as indicating your involvement in prayer over specific needs. Rest assured, the added encouragement this brings to those in need and the grace provided to those in prayer, goes further than you might think. For, "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective."

🍽️ Our Upperclassmen ministry will have their monthly luncheon on Friday, March 1, from 11:45–1:30pm.

🐣 On Saturday, March 30, from 10:00am–12:00pm, we’ll once again host our annual Easter Eggstravaganza. This celebrated time is always a lot of fun for the whole family and we pray you'll feel welcome to join us or even invite a few friends and neighbors to enjoy the festivities along with us. With plenty of games and a giant egg hunt, we'll also share the real meaning of Easter and have some great grilled food available for lunch as well. Hope to see you there!

🍬 We will be collecting individually wrapped candy for the next month leading up to the event. However, unlike last year, this year we are not accepting any chocolate candy donations (they melt inside the hidden Easter eggs). These donations help to ensure that every child has a good Eggstravaganza and we couldn't be more encouraged by your contributions to this outreach.  Make sure to bring your donations by the front office during our working hours or on Sunday mornings before and after each service.

ℹ️ As our church family grows, it becomes more challenging to get News out, and less and less likely that everyone is aware of things like births and deaths in our church family. For that reason, we are adding this little section at the end of our weekly update email anytime there is news to report.

⚱️ Earlier this month, John Heerema, went to be with the Lord. A Celebration of Life will be held this Wednesday, March 6, at 11:00am in the original building.

🍼 Congratulations to Ryan & Macey Norton on the birth of their daughter Navy, born on February 24.

🍼 Congratulations to Justin & Debra Gwiazda on the birth of their daughter, Emma Gwendalyn, born on February 27 at 8:17 p.m., weighing 7lb, 5oz, and 20 in long.
🌀 Are you interested in becoming a certified Disaster Relief volunteer, or are you already a volunteer and want to get certified in a different area of service? Join us for our next in-person training on Saturday, March 2, from 8:30am–3:30pm in Coral Springs. You can learn more about the upcoming training by watching this short video. Contact Bert Holden, Bill Reed, or Wes Traylor for more information.
✡️ We invite you and your family to participate with us in a Christian Passover Seder Meal on Thursday, March 21, as we thank God for our deliverance from sin, just as the blood of the lamb in the first Passover redeemed the Israelites. This special event promises an evening of fellowship, tradition, and celebration as we come together to commemorate the rich history of Passover and recognize the symbolism of Christ as our sacrificial lamb. Tickets are $12 per person ($8 for children under the age of 12), and can be purchased online using the link below. ⤵️
